A training contract is the formal agreement between an employer and an apprentice that registers the apprenticeship with the state training authority.
Ask Chalkline about this →A training contract is the formal written agreement between an employer and an apprentice (or trainee) that establishes the apprenticeship. It records the trade qualification being pursued, the nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering off-the-job training, the duration of the apprenticeship, and the obligations of both parties. The contract must be registered with the state training authority (e.g. Training Services NSW, DESBT in QLD, or the VRQA in VIC) within a set timeframe of the apprentice commencing work. An Apprentice Connect Australia Provider facilitates registration at no cost to the employer.
