QBCC

The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is the Queensland state regulator for the building and construction industry. It issues and manages licences for builders, trade contractors, and certifiers; administers the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme; enforces compliance with the QBCC Act; and handles complaints about defective or incomplete building work.

Any person or company that carries out licensable building work in Queensland must hold a current QBCC licence. The QBCC also sets and enforces the Minimum Financial Requirements (MFR) that licensees must maintain throughout the life of their licence.
