PCI (Practical Completion Inspection)

PCI is the walkthrough at practical completion where the client inspects finished work, judges it against tolerances, and records the defects list.

The walkthrough at practical completion where the client (often with a building consultant) inspects the finished work and records defects against the contract spec, AS standards, and the HIA Guide to Materials and Workmanship.

The output is a defects list the builder works through before final payment is released. Anything missed at PCI carries over into the defects liability period.
