AGWA (Australian Glass and Window Association)

AGWA (Australian Glass and Window Association, formerly AWA) is the peak industry body for window and glazing manufacturers and installers in Australia. AGWA administers the WERS (Window Energy Rating Scheme), which provides rated U-values and SHGC data for registered window products for use in NatHERS energy modelling. AGWA also runs a product certification scheme under which member manufacturers undergo annual factory compliance audits by NATA-accredited auditors, confirming that window products manufactured match the designs tested to AS 2047:2014.

For builders, AGWA membership by the window supplier is a practical indicator that the product has been tested in a NATA-accredited laboratory and that the AS 2047 performance label can be trusted. AGWA’s WERS product database is publicly searchable, allowing specifiers to verify that a nominated window product is registered and its energy performance data is current.
