Ask Chalkline about this →A WHS management plan is a written document that a principal contractor must prepare before construction work starts on a project valued at $250,000 or more (reg 309, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 model law). It sets out the names and responsibilities of people with safety roles, the arrangements for consultation and coordination between PCBUs, site-specific safety rules, incident management procedures, and how SWMS documents will be collected and reviewed.
The plan must be made available for inspection and kept accessible to workers throughout the project, and for at least two years after any notifiable incident. It is a live document: update it when site conditions or personnel change. Every person working on the project must be informed of its content before they start work.
Also known as: WHSMP, safety management plan, site safety plan.
