Sanitaryware is the collective term for the ceramic and porcelain fixtures installed in wet areas: basins, baths, toilets, bidets, and shower bases. In residential construction, sanitaryware is typically supplied by a specialist bathroom supplier and installed by the licensed plumber.

In building contracts, sanitaryware items are commonly listed as prime cost (PC) items because the owner has not yet made product selections at the time of signing. The builder allows an estimated supply cost in the contract; the actual supplier invoice determines any adjustment at reconciliation.

Also known as: Bathroom fixtures, sanitary fixtures.
