Performance Solution
A Performance Solution is the NCC alternative compliance pathway: an expert report shows the design meets the Performance Requirement without using DTS.

Performance Solutions are normal and legal under NCC 2022 Part A2 (Governing Requirements). The certifier (PCA) reviews the report and accepts or rejects it.
Use cases: heritage retrofits where DTS is impossible, awkward sites, complex fire scenarios, novel materials, or where the DTS path is more expensive than a one-off engineered solution.
Cost typically lands on the project budget for the consultant report, certifier review, and any peer review the certifier requests.
