Colorbond is a brand of pre-painted, zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel sheet manufactured by BlueScope Steel and used extensively in Australian residential and commercial construction for metal roofing, wall cladding, gutters, downpipes, fascias, fencing, and shed buildings. The substrate is Zincalume steel (AZ150 zinc-aluminium alloy coating per AS 1397); the Colorbond paint system is applied on top for colour and additional corrosion resistance. Zincalume unpainted is a related product used where a natural metallic finish or secondary coating is intended.

On a residential roof, Colorbond sheeting is profiled into corrugated or ribbed sections (Trimdek, Klip-Lok, Trimwall, and others) and installed by a metal roofer to AS 1562.1:2018, which specifies lap requirements, screw fixing patterns, and the relationship to wind classification. The same product family covers gutters, downpipes, and flashings, making it a single-system solution on most metal roofs.

Colour selection and warranty terms are listed on the BlueScope Steel Colorbond website; the product comes in a range of standard colours with different solar reflectance values relevant to BASIX and NCC energy efficiency compliance.

Also known as: Zincalume (unpainted variant), steel roofing sheet
