BDAA (Building Designers Association of Australia) is the national industry body for building designers. BDAA accreditation signals that a designer has met defined education, experience, and professional standards, including holding professional indemnity insurance. Accreditation is mandatory for building designers in Tasmania and, for BDAA-member designers, in Queensland; in other states it is voluntary but is the key market signal that a building designer meets a recognised professional standard.

The BDAV (Building Designers Association of Victoria) is the Victorian equivalent body.

Also known as: Building Designers Association of Australia.
